Dr. Luc Vrielinck attended the Catholic University of Leuven and the School of Dentistry in Leuven (Belgium) where he was trained as a dentist and a maxillofacial surgeon.
In 1989 he started a private practice in Ziekenhuis Oost Limburg in Genk (Belgium). Since 1999 he is working extensively with computer implant planning systems. For several years Dr. Vrielinck has conducted studies on accuracy of guided surgery using drill guides. Dr. Vrielinck has authored several peer reviewed journal articles on the subject of guided implant placement. A special field of interest is the atrophic maxilla and treatment with zygomatic and pterygoid implants. Since 1999 Dr Vrielinck is using zygomatic implants for treatment of patients with severe maxillary atrophy. Recently Dr. Vrielinck has authored several peer reviewed journal articles on this 20 year experience with zygomatic implants. |
