Dr Gian Luigi Telara (born 1958 in Vermont, USA) received his Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Pisa in 1983, magna cum laude. He is also Diplomate from the la Scuola Superiore Sant’ Anna di Studi Universitari e di Perfezionamento (Collegio Medico) in Pisa (1986).
In 2006 he has attended CE Misch Advanced Bone and Soft Tissue Grafting Course at the Misch International Implant Institute (in Detroit). From 2008 to 2009 he has attended M Pikos Advanced Bone and Soft Tissue Grafting Course I and II at the MAP Institute (Tampa, Florida). In 2009 he has attended Edward P Allen Soft Tissue Surgery Course at the Center for Advanced Dental Education (Dallas). From 2008 and 2014 he has been Speaker in many Congresses in Italy and abroad: for the Simplant Academy (Pisa, Torino, Bologna, Firenze, Wien, Monterey-CA, Rome 2013, Padova 2014) and for the CAI (Computer Aided Implantology)-Academy (Pisa 2009, New York 2010, Verona 2011, Lucca 2012 and 2014; University of Genoa 2012, Rome 2013, Lyon 2014, Florence 2015), on implant topics with a particular interest in Guided Implantology. From 2013 he is Adjunct Professor at the 2nd Level Postgraduate Master Course at la Sapienza University (Rome, Italy). In Nov 2014 he has attended the Dr Fernando Duarte Course on Zygomatic Implants at the Clitrofa Center in Porto (Portugal). Nationally and internationally published Author in Computer Guided Implantology topics: in 2009 he has deposited a patent on a device allowing for accuracy in Guided Implantology, and he has developed the “Thread and Hex-timing, Implant Phase Theory” which has been published on Implant Tribune in 2011, on Implants International, 2011-2012 and CAD-CAM International, UK, France, and Dental Tribune America in 2012) He is CAI Academy Active Member |
