Dr. Fotios Bouzanis was born in 1982 in Athens, Greece. In 2001 he was admitted in the School of Dentistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens from which he graduated in 2007 achieving the grade “Very Good”. During his military service (2007-2008) he worked as a general dentist at the Naval Hospitals of Salamina and Athens. From 2008 until 2010, he worked at his private practice in Athens. In September of 2010, he was admitted in the two year full time Advanced Program for International Dentists in Implant Dentistry of the New York University College of Dentistry (Director: Dr. Sang Choon Cho) and graduated in August of 2012.
Since 2012 he is working in his private practice in Athens, focusing on surgical and restorative implant dentistry. He has developed a special interest in digital technologies, incorporating digital intraoral scanning and computer guided implant surgery in his daily practice. He has presented numerous lectures on that subject in various dental meetings. He is a former member of the American Academy of Osseointegration and has participated in the 2011 and 2012 meetings of the Academy with poster presentations. He is an active member of ITI. He is currently a member of the educational team of the Computer Guided Surgery 3D Certification Course that takes place at the University of Athens Medical School. |
